Passive Contribution Model

Passive Contribution Model

TasQ offers a set-and-forget compute contribution mode for individuals and organizations who want to earn without active workload management. Once configured, the contributor’s machine automatically receives and processes compatible tasks based on its performance tier and availability.

How It Works

  1. Initial Setup – Download and install the TasQ Node Client from the TasQ dApp.

  2. Node Linking – Authenticate via Web3 or Web2 login to link the node to your contributor profile.

  3. Background Operation – The client runs in the background, fetching tasks from the TasQ Ledger when idle compute capacity is available.

  4. Automated Payouts – Credits are earned automatically as tasks are completed, tracked in real time via the dashboard.

Technical Details

  • Task Matching – The scheduler uses a combination of weighted round-robin allocation and performance-tier matching to ensure optimal job distribution.

  • Resource Management – CPU, GPU, and memory limits can be manually set or auto-adjusted based on system usage.

  • Security Layer – All workloads are sandboxed using gVisor and verified using TasQ’s Zero-Knowledge proof validation before payout crediting.

Advantages

  • No need for manual task selection.

  • Continuous earning potential without active monitoring.

  • Minimal impact on local system performance when configured with resource caps.

The passive model is designed for contributors who want consistent rewards with minimal engagement, ensuring the TasQ network remains stable and always available.
